Hey what’s up everyone? Welcome to the first post of My Freedom Passport and i’m glad you decided to stop by and join us!
In this post, I am going to outline 5 reasons why you should consider starting a blog. Whether it be for your own personal use (diary/journal), to help other people, to provide news related content, cooking recipes, or whatever, blogging is for anyone and everyone!
So here are 5 reasons you should start a blog today! Not next week, not next month, not tomorrow…..Today! As in right now! 🙂
You can help and provide value to other people.
Let’s say that you are a talented smoothie maker and you make the most delicious, mouthwatering & tasty smoothies known to man that no one can resist… That’s great!
You can create a blog centered around smoothies and post your recipes so other smoothie lovers can learn how to make tasty smoothies just like you.
By doing this you are creating value, and if you stay consistent with your blog posting efforts, you will create a loyal fanbase & audience and eventually become the “go-to” authority on all things smoothies.
By sharing your knowledge with others, you not only help them achieve their goals, but you also grow as a blogger at same time.
You can make money.
Yes, you can make money from your blog. Thousands of bloggers are doing it and nothing is stopping you from joining the party.
Let’s take the smoothie blog for example. You can sign up for Amazon Associates affiliate program and recommend smoothie makers/blenders to your audience.
If you don’t know what Affiliate Marketing is, it’s basically recommending and promoting other people’s or company’s products for a commission. The commission percentage can be large or small depending on the company, but that’s another post for another day that I will go more in-depth on.
But when you promote affiliate products you must be truthful about the product and really believe in it. If you B.S. your way around the product thinking you can make a quick buck, your audience will sniff you out and you will lose trust & credibility among your readers.
Blogging can expand your network.
Blogging and giving value to other people can really grow your network.
When sharing valuable content, you will meet people through your comment section or other social media channels. These people & companies may reach out to you and ask you to partner on a post/project, may present you with a business opportunity or sponsorship, or may act as a solid reference for anything that pops up in the future.
Honestly, don’t take blogging for granted. Always put out valuable and useful content because you don’t know who is reading.
Blogging can improve your writing skills.
If your writing skills aren’t so hot and could use improvement, blogging can help you become a better writer.
When you start writing consistently and focus on providing great content, you are going to make sure you convey your message thoughtfully and clearly through your words on the screen.
You will take more care in what you write, make sure there are no spelling errors, and you will also make sure that your audience can comprehend what you are saying as easily as a 5 year old.
Improving your writing skills is not hard at all. Blogging can help you accomplish that and more.
You can inspire others.
I know it might sound cliche and a little bit corny, but you really can inspire others by blogging.
When you share content or valuable advice and members of your audience gain value from it, they will usually thank you and sing high praises of you and your blog.
Then if they really gain results, they might in turn create their own blogs so they can share their story with others.
But you may ask, why do I want to create competition?
Good question. I want you to remember this. There is enough pieces of the pie for everyone in this online world. Everyone can eat and eat well!
It is much better to have an abundance mindset than a scarcity one. The more you give, the more rewards will come back to you tenfold.
Blogging is great and can provide a lot of opportunities. Blogging has changed lives of individuals and families for the better and it can definitely change yours if you are willing to put in the work.
