Why You Should Use WordPress

WordPress is the most popular and used CMS (Content Management System) used on the web today. As of January 2019, WordPress now powers 32% of all the websites in the world.

Just to put things in perspective, there are about 172 million active websites right now (and counting). So that means about 55,040,000 websites are using WordPress right now (give or take a few). And the crazy part is that the adoption rate is only going to get larger as time goes on.

I have personally been using WordPress for a long time to build various sites and blogs, and I have always been impressed on how easy it is to use and manage. Sure, there is a minor learning curve when you first get started, but you will get the hang of it after a few tries.

The main reason why I believe you should use WordPress, especially if you are new to building websites is that you can manage the backend yourself without messing around with any code versus a static HTML website. With a Static HTML website you will have to hire out a web designer or developer to make the simplest of simplest of changes, because one wrong move, space, letter, or accidental deletion can easily crash your whole website. With WordPress, all you need to do is login to your admin back end and you can easily make a new post, add a page, video, upload a new image, etc, without the headache of learning code.

Another cool thing about WordPress is that you can easily extend your site’s functionality by installing plugins. If you are not familiar with plugins, they are simple apps you can install to give you the ability to add contact forms, pop up forms, SEO Tools, landing pages, website backup/restoration, etc etc. Pretty much anything you can think of, there is a plugin for it.

To sum it up, I highly suggest you use WordPress to create a site. You will be happy how easy it is to use and how simple it is to manage yourself without hiring an expensive web design team.
